one in four million

Artist Statement

This collection of photos is to tell a story from inside a historical neighborhood; Ladds Addition. My friend and I went around hoping to capture the beauty of Ladds Addition in fall. The reason I chose this as my theme is because this neighborhood is where I hang out with my friends a lot of the time so I believe that this collection of pieces captures my life.

STILL LIFE

Artist Statement

This still life image is meant to be seen as an identity. I personally do not paint but I see that the different paints can be seen as different identities.  How others who do paint generally do put part of their identity into their work. How I identify myself with this piece is how the paints are all mixed and messy and I believe that perfectly represents my life; colorful but messy.

Artist Statement

For my passion project I knew that I wanted to do something that delt with self love and to breakdown the negative ideas the the mass media puts on us. So I asked some friends of mine to do a photo shoot and asked them to write one thing that they have been told that their "too much" or have become insecure due to lack of representation in the media. The next collage is what they wrote spun positively or them with out a sign just being themselves. To who ever's reading this, remember to just keep being you :) <3
